Our hebes and buddleias have been attracting a profusion of butterflies and moths this year. Alongside the usual suspects we've been lucky enough to have Hummingbird Hawkmoths, one amazing Elephant Hawkmoth, which fluttered into a hebe when I tried to get a picture, and the less spectacular Pine Hawkmoth, pictured here. We have also had a profusion of butterflies - Meadow Browns, Small Tortoisehells, Peacocks and the occasional Red Admiral.
